Takes effect straight away. Everything that dies is replaced, so these are the numbers the country holds at.

No water table. Raise it and the low ground floods; raise it to the ties and the railway is gone.

What the timetable permits. Signals are read against it — “Clear” permits it, and “Clear to Stop” requires ten mph less.

Getting about

Pick somebody in Crew, then click the ground to send them walking there. Everything they could work — switches, crossings, the engine, each car, the station — is ringed with a glowing circle. Walk into one and the ring turns green; the jobs it offers appear under Actions.

To drive: walk to the engine, climb into the cab, then take the controls. Release the automatic brake and wait — on a long train the far end takes a while to let go.

Drag to pan · right‑drag or shift‑drag to orbit and tilt · wheel to zoom.

Click the ground to walk. Work only happens where somebody is standing, and only a crew of two can be worked at once.
